Let’s just consider a real crisis; the Cuban Missile Crisis – we were a hair’s breath away from being obliterated, wiped out – gone! A valid crisis raises engagement: we form an opinion, take a position; unfortunately, also stick our heels in, become polarised and stop listening – the Art of Debate; a victim of the struggle.
What about if we could listen to understand rather than to be right; be curious rather than be the expert; collectively working it out rather than individually throwing ourselves in the trenches?
